More than 100 people took to the streets of Saskatoon on Saturday for the Coldest Night of the Year event that raises money to help those who are homeless, hungry and hurting.
This year, the goal was to raise $50,000 for The Lighthouse and The Bridge on 20th. More than $30,000 had been raised as of Sunday.
Participants either walked 2 km, 5 km or 10 km as part of the national event that took place in communities across Canada.
About 250 people signed up for last year’s walk, which raised $50,000.
